Our Process

From start to finish

(And everything in between)

Columbia Cleanroom’s products are manufactured from quality materials and proudly produced in our northwest facilities. We are committed to maintaining an uncontaminated and controlled environment throughout the entire production process and following the highest standards of cleanliness, quality control, and documentation.

How it’s done

Raw material selection

The process begins with the careful selection of raw materials, which must meet strict quality and cleanliness standards. The materials may include polyethylene, stainless metals, textiles, and other components, depending on the product being manufactured.

Cutting and fabrication

Raw materials are cut, shaped, or fabricated into the desired form for the cleanroom product. This may involve processes like cutting, welding, extrusion, or molding, depending on the product’s design.

Assembly

Components and sub-assemblies are assembled in the cleanroom. Our team wears specialized cleanroom garments, including gowns, gloves, and face masks, to prevent contamination.

Cleanroom environment

At various stages of production, quality control checks are performed to ensure that the product meets cleanliness and performance specifications. This may include particle counts, microbial monitoring, and visual inspections.

Quality control

At various stages of production, quality control checks are performed to ensure that the product meets cleanliness and performance specifications. This may include particle counts, microbial monitoring, and visual inspections.

Packaging

Our cleanroom products are double-packaged under certified “Class 10″ or better conditions. (Universally known as ‘ISO 3’ classification.) This ensures they remain clean and uncontaminated until they are used in a cleanroom setting. Packaging materials are also selected for their cleanliness and ability to maintain product integrity.

Labeling and documentation

Each of our cleanroom products is labeled with essential information, including lot numbers and expiration dates. Comprehensive documentation of the manufacturing process and quality control data is maintained.

Testing and validation

For products used in critical applications, testing and validation are performed to ensure they meet specific cleanliness and performance standards. This includes particle testing and documenting ESD readings for every item prior to leaving our cleanroom.

Distribution

Once the cleanroom products pass all of our quality control checks and are validated (if required), they are distributed to end-users.
